Knight (Christopher Walken) is most proud of his ability to save money. "Five bucks a day," he often says. Much to Knight's regret, his relationship with his son Flynn (Alessandro Nivola) is "below freezing." An unexpected illness prompts Knight to make up with Flynn, who is going through his own low point, and two unhappy men drive to the hospital in a battered car.Along the way, Knight sticks to his principles -- save as much as he can, which makes Flynn unbearable, and the relationship warms up amid a series of conflicts and misunderstandings.
