The film picks up where its predecessor left off, with the members of the Guardians of the Galaxy having settled into the land of the Know-Nothing. However, their lives are quickly shattered by the intrusion of Rocket Raccoon's (voiced by Bradley Cooper) troubled past. Peter "Star-Lord" Quill (Chris Pratt) is still lost in the pain of losing Gamora (Zoe Saldana), but he must rally his team and head out on a dangerous mission just to rescue Rocket Raccoon. If this mission fails, the Guardians of the Galaxy as they are known could come to an end.
