This is considered one of the most confusing films David Lynch has ever made. A jazz musician (Bill Pullman) and his wife (Patricia Arquette) receive a videotape one morning, and what they find on it turns out to be a bit of their daily lives. From then on, they receive such a videotape every morning. One day, the musician discovers that the tape actually shows him killing his wife! When he rushed into the bedroom, he found his wife really dead on the bed.The police took him away. After one night, the musician who used to sit in the cell becomes a young repairman, and the inexplicable police have to release him. The maintenance man is highly valued by the triad boss for his excellent car repairing skills. At that time, he discovers that the boss's woman looks exactly the same as his wife, only with a different hair colour. The boss's woman seduces the mechanic and the two abscond with the money. When they come to the desert road, the repairman has wild sex with the woman, after which he turns back into a musician ......
