This "X-Men" drama created by Noah Hawley and Bryan Singer is set in a parallel universe (so it is not connected to the movie). It is based on the Marvel Comics character David Haller (codenamed Legion). In the original work, he is the son of Professor X, Charles Xavier (played by Dan Stevens, the cousin in "Downton Abbey"). He suffers from severe schizophrenia, but he is also an OMEGA-level mutant. He originally thought he was crazy and went in and out of mental hospitals many times, but after a strange experience with a fellow patient, he found that his auditory and visual hallucinations might be real.
