Once upon a time, a highly advanced race of Ancients based on Earth, millions of years ago, for unknown reasons, they left the planet to go somewhere, leaving behind only one outpost at the South Pole. After General Jack O'Neill used one of the outpost's Ancient weapons to destroy a fleet of Goa'uld that had come to attack the region, the nations cooperated to create the Antarctic Alliance, a joint effort to study the Ancient technology in the outpost and promote international cooperation and peace. In the course of their research, they discovered the Pegasus system, where the Ancients had gone after leaving Earth. So, in order to discover the buried history and explore the unknown world, the countries formed the Atlantis Expedition Team and reached the city of Atlantis, which flew away from Earth millions of years ago, through the Stargate.But unfortunately, the arrival of the Earthlings awakened a group of monsters who ruled the Pegasus Galaxy, the Wraith, who were technologically advanced, physically fit, brutal and untrustworthy in nature, and sucked the life out of human beings by treating them as chattel. Ten thousand years ago they defeated the Ancient and forced it to flee back to Earth, and the expedition discovered a startling truth: the Wraith were the product of the Ancient's experiments! In order to combat the powerful Wraith, the Atlantean team had to explore the planets of the Pegasus Galaxy, contacting the natives of Pegasus and trying to find a way to defend themselves against the Wraith, undergoing a perilous journey.
