Dennis (Ralph Fiennes) has been in a psychiatric hospital for 20 years, and now that he's just returned to society, he finds that he can't start his new life smoothly. For, scene after scene, the past flashes back, fragmented and inescapable to him. They brutally smashed his mother to death with a shovel and buried her in the vegetable garden ......After stringing his memories together, Dennis decides to seek revenge on the prostitute.
