David seville (Jason Lee) is a frustrated songwriter in Los Angeles, who works hard day and night, but his work is not appreciated by the record company boss. One day, filled with anger David in the home of a furious, when three from the mountain chipmunk alvin (Justin Long), Simon (Matthew Gray Gubler), sildo (Jesse McCartney) into David's life. David was surprised to find that the three mischievous little ones could not only talk but also sing in harmony. So he makes a deal with the kids that they can live in their home, but they have to sing songs written by David.
