The story takes place at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, a historic academy that is the perfect place for many hot-blooded men to realize their ambitions. As one of the best cadets in a hundred, Jack (James Franco) becomes a member of the Naval Academy. However, Jack, who fantasizes about making a name for himself, is overwhelmed by the heavy workload and rigorous training when he enters the academy, and his unsatisfactory grades even cause him to face the crisis of being expelled from the academy.In order to regain his self-confidence and raise his eyebrows in front of his female instructor, Ali (Jordana Brewster), who has always looked down on him, Jack decides to participate in the military boxing tournament organized by the academy, where only the best and brightest cadets in the long history of the school will be able to win the ultimate victory in the tournament.
