The story takes place in beautiful and romantic France. Phyllis (Elle Fanning) loses her parents at an early age and lives in an orphanage. There, she meets a boy named victor (Dane DeHaan), and they form a deep friendship. In her heart, Phyllis had always wanted to be a ballerina, but she knew that if she stayed within the walls of the orphanage, her wish would never come true.Victor's mind was always full of strange ideas.
