Beto, a half-wolf, half-dog wolfdog, was ostracized by humans and Eskimo dogs in Alaska in the late 19th century. Beto, who didn't know what race he belonged to, had only four good friends around him: the beautiful Eskimo dog Jenna, the noisy but kind penguin Boris, and the shy and cute polar bears Muk and Luke. Although Beto's "hybrid" identity was out of tune with them, his friends didn't care about his appearance.
