Career criminal Gilbert Galvin Jr. (Duhamel) escapes from an American prison and crosses the border into Canada, where he takes on a new identity under the alias Robert Whitman. After falling in love and getting married, he claims to have accepted a job as a travel security consultant, but his daring criminal behavior continues. His career becomes more complicated after he seeks investment from lifelong gangster Tommy (Gibson), who is involved in the largest heist in Canadian history, which puts him at the center of a cross-country manhunt.
