The film chronicles James Cameron's successful dive to the deepest part of the world's oceans, the Marianas Trench, on the single-person deep submersible Deepsea Challenger. The depth of Cameron's dive was 35,756 feet (10,898 metres) - the unparalleled depth limit of the world's oceans. The story behind the development of the deep submersible is also told in this documentary film. At the bottom of 10,000 metres, Cameron stayed for six hours, filmed in high-definition 3D cameras, and the dozen other dives he made to warm up for the dive will also be cut into this 90-minute 3D documentary.
