Libby (Ashley Judd) and her husband Nick (Bruce Greenwood) are very close to each other, and the two of them are raising a lovely son, Marty (Benjamin Weaver), a model of happiness. But suddenly, Nick mysteriously disappears, leaving behind a large amount of blood, and Libby becomes a suspect and ends up in jail. Libby leaves Marty in the hands of her best friend Angie (Annabeth Gish), while she struggles to clear her name with the help of fellow inmates Margaret (Roma Maffia) and Evelyn (Davenia McFadden).Six years go by and Officer Tavis (Tommy Lee Jones) becomes the guardian of Libby, who has been granted parole, when Libby discovers that not only is Nick not dead, but he's even changed his face and is living incognito with his son and Angie. After a double betrayal, Libby decides to fight back, and Nick is not one to sit idly by. A battle of intrigue and danger is about to begin.
