A famous painter holds an exhibition in New York, only to have his famous paintings stolen. The suspicion points to the big thief Mike (Sean Connery). Because Mike is a frequent thief of valuable works of art, and all the evidence of the theft of the famous painting, also shows that Mike is the most suspect.To incriminate him, the insurance company behind the project decides to use a honey trap -- an employee named Virginia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) poses as Mike's sidekick to entice him into committing the crime, which the insurance company then pursues. In each case, however, Mike didn't fall into the trap of falling in love with Virginia. Learning that the YEAR 2000 bug had invaded computers, Virginia goaded Mike into using the opportunity to hack into an international bank in Malaysia, one of the world's most heavily regulated institutions. A battle of wits begins, and Virginia is caught up in the choice between being loyal to the company and helping loved ones.
