Ellen (Vanessa L. Williams) is a senior employee of the largest weapons manufacturing company in the U.S., Western Calendar, and she slowly discovers some of the company's shady practices - the company produces a banned weapon and trades it on the black market. The FBI uses Ellen to obtain some evidence, and Ellen becomes a key witness in the case. Given the power of the company, the Witness Protection Center sends Marshal John (Arnold Schwarzenegger) to protect Allen.
When John arrives at Alan's house, the killer is murdering Alan. John rescues a stunned Ellen and tells her what is going on. After settling Ellen, John heads to the bar to meet with his companion Robert (James Caan), who tells John that the witness protection program has to be rescheduled because it was leaked, and asks John to come along. John, who has always been independent in his tasks, becomes suspicious, and he slowly begins to feel that the forces behind this matter are not simple.
