In the city called ankh-morpork, modern technology has made great progress. People are moving away from the traditional postal system in favour of the more convenient Internet, Clarks. But Clarks is not stable, and because the system often crashes, the speed of the network is getting slower and slower. Vitineri (Charles Dance), the Lord of ankh-morpork, can no longer stand Clarks' bossy slowness and decides to serve his sentence for the collapse of the traditional postal system.
