In the not-too-distant future, the Road Riders wreak havoc on the roads, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. The pursuit of the Dark Knight, who has stolen a police car, costs the police dearly, and it's only when Max (Mel Gibson), who is even crazier than the Knight, steps in that he forces the Dark Knight to die in a car crash. Swearing revenge, the Dark Knight's cohorts descend on the town to retrieve the Dark Knight's body and wreak havoc on the weak, Max and partner Gus (Steve Bisley) capture the killers but have to tolerate them to continue to get away with it because no one dares to identify them. When Gus is captured and seriously injured by the Highwaymen, and Max's wife Jessie (Joanne Samuel) is terrorized and harassed by them, Max, known as "Crazy," stops holding back and strikes back at the Knights...
