For $100,000, bounty hunter Jack Walsh (Robert De Niro) decides to go to New York to search for Chicago mob boss Jimmy Serrano's (Dennis Farina) accountant Jonathan Maddux (Charles Grodin). Jonathan embezzled $15 million from Jimmy and donated most of the money to charity. Jack was going to take Jonathan on a plane to Los Angeles by midnight on Friday, but Jonathan suffers from a fear of flying and the pair have to switch to a train. Meanwhile, FBI agent Alonzo Mosley (Yaphet Kotto), Jimmy's mobsters and Jimmy's rival, bounty hunter Marvin (John Ashton), are on their trail. Will Jack and Jonathan be able to pull off their hilarious and dangerous journey?
