In the future world, with the rapid advancement of technology, the pollution of the earth is getting worse and worse. In order to curb this state of affairs, a company called Lunar Energy Industries Ltd. was created. The company is dedicated to the development of lunar energy by harvesting helium-3 to fulfill Earth's need for energy. Lunar Energy has a base on the moon, and Sam Bell (Sam Rockwell) is the only person working there. Sam is a contract worker for the company and has been living alone on the moon for three years, accompanied only by his intelligent robot, Goldie (Kevin Spacey). The tedium of his life has made Sam desperate to return, and with two weeks to go before he leaves the moon, Sam stumbles into an accident. He awakens to find that Goldie seems to be hiding something from him, and that the company executives have denied his request for a return trip. Sam takes the opportunity to escape from the base, only to find his other self at the site of the accident ......
