Julianne (Julia Roberts Julia Roberts) and Michael (Dermot Mulroney Dermot Mulroney) are college sweethearts. Like most lovers, their passionate love slowly cooled down until they were reduced to good friends. So before graduation, they made a pact that if they were still single by the age of 28, it would be a clear sign that they were made for each other, and they would get married then.After graduation, the two of them have been on the phone, Julianne thought it was just friendship. However, the news of Michael's wedding woke her up to the fact that she was still in love with Michael all along, and the intense jealousy and sadness she felt at that moment made her sleepless.Julianne decides to change all that.
