Tim (Jeff Daniels) is an ambitious TV news reporter, but he is not appreciated by his boss. On his way home, he encounters a Martian spacecraft that crashes into the Earth! In order to repair the ship, Martian Martin, who has been transformed into an Earthling, has to approach Tim.
