On her wedding anniversary, CIA agent Evelyn Salt (Angelina Jolie) is tasked with interrogating a Russian spy who has turned himself in. He claims to have infiltrated the U.S. since the 1980s and reveals that a spymaster trained children to be spies in ordinary American homes to assassinate the President of the United States. To the shock of all the agents present, the Russian identified Sauter as one of the children.In spite of the CIA agents, Sauter insists on returning home. After a thrilling chase, she temporarily escapes her former companions. Soon after, the Russian president visits the United States, and Sauder is once again caught up in all the intrigue, and her true identity becomes ever more unclear...
