In everyone's eyes, Simon (Ian Michael Smith) is a miracle, just born only the size of a fist, he was immediately sentenced to death by the doctor, but with this death notice, Simon magically grew from a nursing baby to a 12-year-old boy. Although Simon's small stature is often discriminated against and ridiculed by his peers, he still retains a kind and sincere heart.
As Simon's best friend, Joe (Joseph Mazzello) is troubled by the fact that he grew up in a single-parent household and longs to know the whereabouts of his father. A terrible accident has left Joe without his mother forever, and it is Simon who started the whole thing. Guilt-stricken, Simon decides to take Joe with him on a journey to find his father, while Simon's strong and fragile life gradually comes to an end.
