Frank Martin (Jason Statham), a talented ex-special forces soldier who now makes a living hauling goods by BMW, cares more about protocol and principles than he does about bank robbers. After a single assignment, he inevitably has to meet the police and new job. Frank is entrusted by an American criminal gang to carry an article, frank inadvertently discovers that goods is actually a named Lai (Shu Qi) Oriental woman. Frank to finish the task after the other party but to kill, had to take Lai back to the residence. Frank gets into trouble when his employer razes his apartment and Lai's mysterious identity is revealed: she is the only daughter of an international smuggler. Frank is caught up in the father-daughter feud of the smuggling crime, and he needs to make a decision about his relationship with Rye and justice.
