Ted (Ben Stiller) met the beautiful Mary (Cameron Diaz) thirteen years ago. At the time, he was an ordinary boy who fell in love with Mary, the girl of his dreams, and Mary was also attracted to Ted because he stepped forward to save Mary's mentally ill brother, Warren.
