Charlie dies, leaving only a beach house to his brother Alan (Jon Cryer). Unable to afford the upkeep of the house, Alan decides to sell it at the urging of his mother.When Alan finally receives Charlie's ashes, the house has an unexpected visitor. The man who shows up out of nowhere is Walden (Ashton Kutcher), a rich, wealthy, good-looking man who attempts to kill himself to get back his divorcing wife. Discouraged by Alan, Wharton decides to live and also buys Alan's villa. Just like his older brother Charlie, Allen has decided to stay at the beach house, which already belongs to Wharton, as a “friend,” and with his 17-year-old son Jack (Angus T. Jones), the two halves of a good man have begun to live together again. The two halves of a good man are back in action.
