In a fantasy land located just outside the Iberian Peninsula, 17-year-old Yasha (voiced by Ariana DeBose) and her pet goat live in Rosas, known as the Kingdom of Wishes, where people come from all over to express their wishes to a magical king, McNifico (voiced by Chris Pine), who promises to one day fulfill their deepest desires, and only he can decide which ones will be granted when. Asha, a quick-witted idealist, makes a particularly powerful wish, which is answered by a cosmic force - a ball of infinite energy called a star. Together, Asha and the star face their most powerful foe, overthrowing the rule of McNifico to save her community and proving that when the will of one brave man is combined with the magic of the star, marvelous things can happen.
